Jennifer's 'renewal': After a gantlet of ups and downs since   her breakthrough on "American Idol," Jennifer Hudson got a license to   smile, greeting the critical and commercial slam-dunk of "I Remember You," the   week's biggest release, as a "renewal" after the tragic aftermath of her 2008   self-titled debut. That year saw the powerhouse singer and "Dreamgirls" Oscar winner devastated by the murder of   her mother, brother and nephew. Now Hudson's a mother, a promising actress with   an upcoming big-screen performance as Winnie Mandela, and a glamorous new look   aligned with her added reach as spokeswoman for Weight   Watchers.
